Personality Bio

Hey everyone, thanks for checking out my page. My name is Amadeus. Yeah, I know... you can call me Ami for short. Like "omni" without the "n". I'm originally from a little town in central Ga. called Sandersville, but I moved to Jacksonville, Fl. at a very young age, and that's where I call Home. My radio career started at a Legendary Top 40 station in Jax called The Big Ape (WAPE). I was there for 16 years, when suddenly my Country Roots started calling me home. I've been in Country radio now 6 years and in my 22 year radio career, I've never been happier.

I look forward to getting to know Albany, and especially B100 listeners.

I'm a bit of a Pop Culture junkie. I love Opening Day movies, AMC's The Walking Dead, and hitting Wal-Mart on Tuesdays for new CD releases.

Loop The Lake 5K Run To Benefit GraceWay Recovery Residence

The 2013 Lake Blackshear Loop the Lake 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk and Stroller Roll benefiting GraceWay Recovery Residence will be held on Saturday, June 1 at the Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club.

The race winds through the gorgeous Georgia Veterans State Park and around the lake.

GraceWay Recovery Residence, is a non-profit, faith-based, long-term substance abuse treatment center for women seeking recovery in a home environment.

The 5K run starts at 8:00 a.m. on June 1, and the 5K Stroller Roll will start at 8:10 a.m. There will also be a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk & Stroller Roll starting at 8:20 a.m.

The race features a full pancake breakfast at Cypress Grille, an official event T-shirt, goodie bags and a chance to win some door prizes.

Monday Nights Performances On 'The Voice'

Tonight 'The Voice' cuts the Top 10 to 8... Who do y'all think is going home?? I think Sasha Allen & Kris Thomas (Team Shakira) and Josiah Hawley (Team Usher) might be in danger.

Sasha sang "Next To Me" by Emeli Sande, which was sang twice in the last month of 'American Idol'. I don't know if that was the right song choice for Sasha.

Kris Thomas sang "Adorn" by Miguel. I think he's a good singer, I just don't know if that particualr performance held up against some of the better of the night.

Josiah Hawley is one of my favorites in the competition, but I think song choice again might be the problem. Usher picked "Clocks" by Coldplay for Josiah. As some of the other Coaches pointed out, there just isn't enough lyrical substance in the song. I hope Josiah makes it thru, but I won't be surprised if he doesn't.

The top singers, for me, were Sarah Simmons (Team Adam), who KILLED Jesse J's "Mama Knows Best"; Danielle Bradbery, who showed how effortless and powerful her voice is on JoDee Missina's "Heads Carolina, Tails California"; and The Swon Brothers, who NAILED Randy Houser's "How Country Feels". I think The Swon Brothers just might be the Dark Horse(s) in this seasons competition.

I also really liked Judith Hill (Team Adam) singing Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel". It was an emotional performance, as she was Michael's duet partner for what would have been his This Is It Tour, and had worked directly with him for months, before his passing.

Team Blake's Holly Tucker had a great night too, singing the Gospel standard "How Great Thou Art". SMART song choice on Blake's part.
